Working with your GP
I have worked collaboratively with GP's and consultants for the whole of my working career. During your medical history, I always scan for "red flags", or medical reasons why I should contact your GP, with any signs or symptoms that need checking. I will always ask for your consent to contact your GP and will only do so with your approval.
With any major changes to your diet or exercise, I always recommend that you inform and discuss the plan with your GP. I am happy to send them your report and my recommendations, for their approval. If you want to stop or reduce your prescription medications, I can only support this with your GP's explicit approval, with an agreed strategy and monitoring processing in place.
